Little Finne

Little Finne is a handmade plush whale. I had sewn Finne when I was experiencing the different textured textiles and also the 3D form. Little Finne is a whale mutant who had to travel around the world to find the perfect sea temperature to live in. When I had my vacation at Kas in 2017, I swam and dived with Finne in the big blue. While we were free diving we saw a couple of deadly lionfish. I was shocked to see these tropical fish in the north Mediterranean. “As climate change has warmed the Earth, ocean temperatures getting warm, numerous non-native fish have invaded Mediterranean waters — about 130 species since 2001. These notorious invasive species threaten reef ecosystems in coastal waters." said Little Finne and continued, "Climate change is affecting all of us, everything is in relation to everything else. We need to save nature unless we all become extinct.’  Whenever the sea temperature will return to its normal degrees Little Finne’s journey of searching the light would be accomplished.
