Hi! This is Elif.

I grew up on an Island called ‘Heybeli’. It is one of the princess islands of historical Istanbul. I worked as an art director for over 10 years at various global advertising agencies. I am a designer and art director, and my passion is designing toys. I created “Mutant Power” in March 2011, to put the computer aside for a while and enjoy creating with my hands, turning the characters I have drawn into soft toys. I draw, design, sew, and write stories about my characters.

Before I came to LA, I had been working as a full-time art director at Leo Burnett İstanbul. I created online and offline ad campaigns for Samsung, as well as print and TV commercials, with my team.

I moved to LA in 2016 to study Fashion Design at Santa Monica College to improve my skills and to understand and feel the fabric. In 2019, I got my AS in Fashion Design. Since I came to Los Angeles, I have had the opportunity to attend two designer toy conventions at DesignerCon. Since late 2016, I have been working at the magical The Actors’ Gang Theater, designing Posters and others. I am beyond grateful to be part of this extremely creative family.

Besides that, I am a joyful, hard worker and good at collaboration. I love to play with my toddler, bike around, and play more. I like drawing, shooting millions of photos, dancing, snorkeling, and listening to the songs of the Pacific. I am into saving nature and reversing climate change.

I am going to create more, write more, and play more… I want to expand myself in every aspect of design and art, and destroy the existing aspects by breaking them up into pieces and reconstructing them in my own way. I want to join exhibitions around the world. I love to meet new people and collaborate on projects, and always keep moving forward. I love to look for new inspirations and good vibes.

💚
